Product group media is a feature that shows product pictures for each option, like color or style. When a customer picks one option, they will only see the pictures for that choice. This makes shopping easier and less confusing.

Note:

Product group media feature can only be applied to one variant option.
For example, if you group images by Color, you cannot also group them by Size.

Please follow these steps to set up this feature:

1. Create a metafield

Go to Settings > Metafields and metaobjects > Metafield definitions > Products > click 'Add definition'. You need to set it up with the following:

• Name: Product group media

• Namespace and key: theme.group_media_obj

• Select type: JSON

• Click 'Save'.

2. Configure Product group media

Step 1: Go to Theme Customize > Products > only_config template > Product group media.

Step 2: Select the product you want to configure.

Step 3: Choose the variant option to group media by (e.g., Color or Size).

• All images/videos of the product will appear.

• Assign each image/video to the correct variant.

• If you want an image/video to show for all variants, set it to None.

Step 4: After finishing the setup, click COPY CODE.

Step 5: Go to Shopify Admin > Products, open the product you configured in Step 2.

• Scroll down to the Product group media metafield.

• Paste the copied code into that field.

You can repeat the same steps to set up group media for other products.
