V2.0.0 released 31/03/2025

Note: You cannot upgrade the Ecomus theme from version 1.9.x to 2.0.x, as the core structures of these two versions are entirely different. Ecomus 1.9.x is built on the regular Shopify OS 2.0 theme, while Ecomus 2.0.x is based on Shopify Theme Blocks. Therefore, to use Ecomus 2.0.x, you’ll need to install the theme from the package and set it up from scratch

Theme Blocks Architecture Update:

1. Section Block Improvements

• Restructure existing sections into modular blocks

• Each block can be reused and customized independently

• Add dynamic settings for blocks

2. New Features

• Block-level Settings: Each block can have its own configuration settings

• Dynamic Block Rendering: Blocks can be loaded and rendered independently

• Conditional rendering based on the viewport

3. This update will help the Ecomus theme:

• Easy to extend with apps

• Increase code reusability

• Improve performance - Keep up with Shopify's new standards
